Product Support: CommVault Serverless Data Manager (SDM) End-of-Life Notice
In an effort to maintain the Simpana software suite and provide the highest degree of satisfaction to our customers, CommVault will discontinue it's marketing and support of the Serverless Data Manager iDataAgent in all current and future product releases in addition to all OEM versions, including Dell, Hitachi Data Systems and Bull. Serverless Data Manager iDataAgent uses SCSI-3 EXTENDED COPY in conjunction with software snapshot engines, or hardware copy managers, to transfer data directly across SAN.

As part of CommVault's Discontinuation of the Serverless Data Manager iDataAgent; effective April 30, 2008; Commvault shall withdraw from marketing and support of the following products and they will no longer be covered under the CommVault Global Customer Service License Agreement:

CommVault recommends to customers who have requirements for similar features and functionality provided by Serverless Data Manager to contact CommVault Sales for information on Image Level and Image Level ProxyHost products.
