Mailbox backup and restore

CommVault Galaxy® Backup & Recovery software with iDataAgents (iDAs) for Exchange protects data residing in Microsoft Exchange Storage Groups, Information Stores, mailboxes, public folders and Web folders. This includes selection and restore of individual contacts, calendar items, tasks and mail messages.

CommVault Galaxy software also protects and restores the entire Exchange server and Windows platform environment, and provides object-level Active Directory protection.

Mailbox management for Exchange end-users

Outlook Add-In with CommVault® Archive for comprehensive end-user mailbox management capability. Key capabilities include: browse, search and select messages from the archive, including PST files not held in Exchange; selective archiving; and local migration.

HSM-style management of Exchange primary disk stores

CommVault® Archive for Exchange controls the growth and cost of primary storage. E-mail messages can be "stubbed" or deleted from the primary mailbox location, to take a fraction of the storage. End-users can browse the archive from Outlook, and search, select and retrieve archived messages.

Search on the content of archived e-mail messages and their attachments

Content Indexing provides rich search and discovery by any word in the e-mail or attachment. Secure access provides a fail-safe way to retain and retrieve data while automatically enforcing policies.

Archive all messages coming through an Exchange server

CommVault® Archive uses various capture methods, including Exchange message journaling, an SMTP gateway and by one-time scans of existing or restored views of Exchange private folders (mailboxes). Journaling ensures that a copy of every e-mail routed through the Exchange server is captured and preserved.
