Those who know me, know I often speak of gratitude and how just one gracious moment can make a world of difference for someone … and more so, a difference in the world.
As we celebrate Pride this month, I would like to extend my gratitude to the LGBTQ+ community at Commvault and beyond for their unwavering strength, compassion, and courage in the face of continued discrimination and in defiance of the violence targeted at the community. And, recognizing that no one should go-it-alone in life, I would also like to extend my sincere appreciation to all the allies who stand with our LGBTQ+ friends, colleagues, and family members.
We are making progress, but there is so much more work to do. At Commvault, gratitude and caring are core to who we are as a company, which is why we work closely with our LGBTQ+ & Allies Employee Resource Group to ensure we are enabling all our Vaulters to be their best selves at work. Not just during Pride Month, but from the moment someone connects with us through their career progression at Commvault.
As I began writing this blog, I read this quote from actor and activist George Takei:
“We should indeed keep calm in the face of difference and live our lives in a state of inclusion and wonder at the diversity of humanity.”
His words touched me because, like you, I am grateful for and live in wonder of the diversity of our humanity. Together, let’s celebrate and share our gratitude for each other in hopes of a kinder, more inclusive world.
