We’ve enjoyed a long and extremely successful partnership with Cisco, and in today’s blog I’m delighted to announce news that opens up a new chapter in our already highly successful alliance.
Commvault has joined Cisco’s Solutions Plus program, which means that starting from October 2017 Commvault Data Platform Solutions will be part of Cisco’s Global Price List, making it easy for Cisco and its powerful network of resellers to sell and deliver our market-leading data management solutions. It’s an undeniably strong customer proposition, with Commvault providing compelling data protection with Cisco’s leadership in Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions.
In fact, in this short video, Frank Palumbo, SVP of Global Data Centers at Cisco, explains how Commvault completes the Cisco story in the data center by bringing much-needed data expertise to their field organization.
Organizations of all sizes are facing increasing data management challenges, spurred equally by an exponential growth in the amount of data to store, manage and analyze, and a high risk of security breaches. To manage this challenge, customers require a robust, proven data protection solution that defends against the growing variety of threats, can flexibly and reliably manage data stored on-premises and in the cloud, and offer automation and policy-based capabilities to scale seamlessly while handling the continuing influx of data.
The Commvault Data Platform is built to address all of these requirements. And now that it will be available on the Cisco Global Price List, it will be easier for customers worldwide to acquire and deploy these solutions with the design flexibility to meet their unique deployment needs. Whether customers are refreshing infrastructure with new UCS servers, transitioning to Hyper-converged Infrastructure with HyperFlex, or designing a Converged system with performance-optimized FlashStack or Flexpod, the Commvault Data Platform is available to deliver proven enterprise-class data protection and management. Offering the most expansive support for public cloud providers, hypervisors, big data support and database protection, Commvault software on Cisco hardware can accelerate customers’ adoption of and transition to a hybrid cloud strategy across business-critical and secondary application use cases.
It is this consistent level of innovation, capability and reliability that has led to Commvault being named a leader in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Data Center Backup and Recovery Solutions seven years in a row. Customers have been deploying Commvault software on Cisco hardware for years, benefiting from Cisco Validated Designs (CVDs) and reference architectures to guide their assessment and deployment. By expanding our partnership with Cisco, Commvault will make it seamless for customers to adopt the ‘best of breed’ solutions in a unified stack that enhances the already strong value proposition of the Cisco data center portfolio.
We continue to work with Cisco to bring innovative data management solutions for the modern data-driven enterprise and more details will be announced shortly.
