Joni Mitchell may have looked at clouds “from both sides now,” but at the upcoming AWS re:Invent conference (Dec. 2-6, 2019 in Las Vegas), we’ll be talking about clouds from every side and angle. During re:Invent, you can talk to a Commvault data expert about how you’re looking at your on-premises challenges and your journey to the cloud (whether it’s hybrid, public or maybe even a multi-cloud destination – we have what you need!). Come see us at Booth No. 2413!
On the show floor, Commvault’s data experts will demonstrate how our single platform provides you access to extensive capabilities for data protection, backup, recovery, management and eDiscovery – all designed to run seamlessly on the AWS Cloud.
I’m looking forward to presenting at re:Invent and talking about how Commvault helps AWS consumers minimize data protection challenges in the cloud with native access to any storage tier, application-consistent protection of workloads and efficient migration capabilities, which lower infrastructure costs and mitigate bandwidth constraints. Though the shift to the cloud and software-defined storage can present new challenges for workload portability and data protection, achieving recovery SLAs across multiple environments doesn’t need to be like the illusions Joni sang about in “Both Sides Now.”
During one of our presentations, we will be sharing an exceptional customer story from The College of The Holy Cross. It replaced its data management solution with Commvault’s HyperScale Appliance to house data and automate the movement of backup copies to its AWS cloud instead of to on-premises tape drives, reducing cost and risk. Backed by a single interface, the solution reduced management and monitoring overhead of its on-premises and cloud data.
re:Invent is an important event for Commvault, as it gives us an opportunity to highlight our deep integration with AWS and to showcase our commitment to our partnership. Throughout our partnership, Commvault has previewed AWS’ new product launches and provided day one support.
So what’s new this year? I’ll have more to say about that at the show. Here is the presentation schedule:
EBS snapshots: What’s new, best practices and security – CMP305-R
Monday, Dec. 2, 12:15 p.m. – Venetian, Level 2, Titian 2202
Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2:30 p.m. – MGM, Level 3, Premier Ballroom 319
Thursday, Dec. 5, 1 p.m. – MGM, Level 3, Premier Ballroom 319
Don’t miss the chance to learn more about core AWS services, participate in breakout sessions and get hands-on experience during workshops and hackathons. And of course, don’t miss out on my presentation and the opportunity to talk with Commvault’s data experts during re:Invent.
See you in Las Vegas!
