In a few short weeks, we will be descending upon Las Vegas for HPE Discover 2022, HPE’s annual Edge-to-Cloud conference for enterprise customers. As a Silver Sponsor, we’re excited to connect with other industry leaders and customers at Booth #344 to talk all things data modernization, hybrid cloud, and the pressing challenge that matters most to our customers – protecting their data.
In its current state, data repositories are becoming more and more fragmented and are expected to continue to grow at an annual rate of 20-30%1, forcing IT organizations to live in a muddled landscape. To add to the chaos, many organizations are adopting both hybrid (on-premises and cloud) and even multi-cloud environments for their applications and data. The result – siloed data across core, edge, and cloud, making data protection and management more complex than ever before.
Capacity planning for current and future data management is time consuming, complex, and difficult to get right, particularly as organizations must also consider the nature of that data, its criticality, the network it will be running on, and the cyber resiliency of the environment. There is no leniency on either under or over provisioning of the environment.
Our customers are looking at us for help as they effectively juggle the management of data wherever it resides, transforming to a hybrid model, and managing their cyber resiliency. Commvault is announcing a better way to help customers solve and evolve through the packaging and availability of “prescriptive and simplified” HyperScale X (HSX) data management offerings. Built on HPE ProLiant and Apollo infrastructure, Commvault’s HyperScale X is a software-defined scale out solution with built-in ransomware protection from the silicon through the software stack.
Termed as “T-shirt Sizing,” these scalable offerings simplify and make it easier to identify, build, and implement data management for enterprises of all sizes. Customers can easily identify the right size for their current environment and expected growth capacity with four prescriptive packages – Small, Medium, Large, and Extra Large. Customers can consume these data management solutions via traditional Capex purchases or as a consumption-based cloud service through HPE GreenLake – further removing complexity and allowing for consumption-based metering and billing.
What’s in it for our customers?
- Simplified solutions, tailor-made just for them: The new packing removes the complexities in cobbling together software and infrastructure. The configurations have been created keeping in mind the data needs and use cases of customers, synthesised with years of experience and real customer deployments.
- Reduced risk: The prescriptive HSX offerings minimize the risk of under or over provisioning for customers’ environments and provides future growth and scale out for businesses as they grow.
- Time savings: The bespoke configurations save lot of man hours that are normally spent on the daunting task of architecting that “perfect” data protection recipe.
