Commvault Wins Again with Record Number of Honorees on 2022 CRN Channel Chiefs List
Our drive to win with our partners is like playing sports – we can’t score the goal, get the touchdown or make the shot without working as a team. That drive comes from the top, through our coaches, our leaders, as they champion us from the sidelines of the big game to bring home the win.
An avid fan of sports, particularly football (soccer to some of you), I often use this example as a way to explain Commvault’s partner ecosystem. As a channel-led company, we rely on our partners to deliver our Intelligent Data Services to customers, addressing their toughest data challenges, and together, growing our customer-base and sales potential. Our partner and sales teams are some of the strongest players on the field and the coaches, in our case, our Worldwide Partner Organization leadership team, consistently help our team deliver wins.
This is why I am thrilled to announce that John Tavares, Vice President, Worldwide Channels and Alliances, Lamia Megdiche, Vice President, Partner Strategy and Programs, Jesse Grindeland, Vice President, Americas Worldwide Partner Organization, and Mayra Luis-Castillo, Vice President, Global Cloud Partners and Diamond SPs, have all been named to CRN’s 2022 Channel Chiefs List.
A prestigious honor, CRN’s annual Channel Chiefs program identifies top IT channel vendor executives who continually demonstrate expertise, influence and innovation in channel leadership. A panel of CRN editors selected the honorees for their channel dedication, industry stature and accomplishments as channel advocates.
JT, Lamia, Jesse, and Mayra have these attributes in spades, and each represent a key area of our partner organization and channel business.
As head of our Worldwide Partner Organization, JT is responsible for leading our worldwide partner team and setting and executing against our strategic partner growth objectives. This past year, his team accelerated YoY bookings growth and gained market share for Commvault while continuing to position the company as a leader in SaaS. A key focus was their continued investment in our partners, responding to market requirements by building out our Managed Service Provider and Aggregator offerings, which paid off greatly.
Lamia leads some of our most important global relationships and oversees the evolution of our worldwide partner programs across all routes to market (Solution Provider, Service Provider, Alliances, GSIs, Cloud), focusing on achieving greater, measurable impact from go-to-market investments between Commvault and our partner ecosystem. In 2021, her team made significant enhancements to our Partner Advantage Program for MSPs and Aggregators, resulting in strong YoY channel booking growth, increases in new customers, and senior channel leadership development.
Jesse plays a critical role in our Americas business, managing and evolving our in-region partnerships and setting the stage for new ways to partner as we execute for today and transform for tomorrow. Under Jesse’s leadership, his team optimized partner investments and drove record YoY channel bookings in North America and focused heavily on rapidly expanding Commvault’s Managed Services portfolio.
As a transformational leader, Mayra oversees Commvault’s global cloud partnerships with the industry’s top public cloud providers of end-to-end software and cloud technology solutions. This past year, Mayra and her team played a critical part in the rollout of Metallic for MSPs, starting with the launch of SoftwareONE as Metallic’s first global design partner. This partnership evolved into a go-to-market model that opened incremental routes to market with leading MSPs.
