Several years ago, Commvault was an integral component in the of launch HPE GreenLake, which brings cloud services to customer applications and data in their environment – at the edge, data center, or co-location facility – in a pay-per-use, self-service, scalable and managed solution by HPE and its partners. Today we’re proud to share that we’ve added to the customer choices inside of GreenLake with the addition of Commvault HyperScale™, enabling customers to leverage the flexibility and elasticity of scale-out architecture, both on-premises and in the cloud.

Unprecedent times call for flexibility, scalability and cost savings

The demands on data infrastructures are increasing as companies adjust their workforces and the number of remote workers grows. At the same time, organizations need to make sure their data infrastructures can flex – both up and down – to meet demands and control costs.

To address these challenges, Commvault has teamed with HPE to integrate Commvault HyperScale into its HPE GreenLake for Backup solution. In HPE GreenLake for Backup with HyperScale, built on HPE reference architecture, customers are provided with more choices to specifically address their needs. They can select an infrastructure model that is right for them – whether that be utilizing a traditional scale-up with StoreOnce Catalyst or a scale-out with Commvault HyperScale reference architecture. The solution also provides a seamless workflow for customers – easing implementation, management and scalability. Customers receive all the benefits of both on-premises and cloud environments, without any of the drawbacks.

Modern data protection eliminates headaches and brings cloud flexibility to on-premises

“Our HyperScale solution has been extremely beneficial to our customers,” said Mark Bridges, Senior Director/Worldwide Alliances, Commvault. “We are thrilled to be combining our efforts with HPE in its HPE GreenLake for Backup offering, removing our customers’ concerns and headaches that too often come from the forklift upgrades associated with traditional backup solutions and instead providing a modern data protection and data management solution built for hybrid cloud.”

Said Maurice Martin, Vice President, Ecosystem Scale Organization/HPE GreenLake Cloud Services: “We are excited to further expand the capabilities of our HPE GreenLake for Backup offering with the addition of Commvault HyperScale. With this release, we continue to deliver market leading services to help our customers protect data across a wider variety of technologies. Together with leaders like Commvault, we build world-class solutions to support exponential growth of data, free up capital, enable greater scalability and reduce business risk.”
