Living Our Values on South Africa National Women’s Day

By Kate Mollett

To celebrate National Women’s Day here in South Africa, earlier this week we hosted our second annual Women’s Day event for our customers and partners in support of the Home of Hope for Girls.

As I reflected on this event over the past few days, I couldn’t help but think about how much I saw Commvault’s values – we connect, we inspire, we care, we deliver – at play throughout every aspect of our celebration.

At the event, we gathered together to celebrate the remarkable women in our local tech community and inspire each other to make a difference in the workplace… and this world! We were able to connect with each other by having conversations from the heart, sharing our stories, and talking about how we can all make the world a better place.

And as I mentioned earlier, we had the amazing privilege to partner with the Home of Hope for Girls for the second year in a row, as we celebrated the incredible achievements of the home and the important work being done. The Home of Hope for Girls is a refuge for children and teens who have survived abusive situations, mostly as a result of child sex trafficking. We asked all our attendees to bring gently used gowns and cocktail dresses to help the girls from Home of Hope feel extra special for their matric balls and graduation ceremonies. Our partnership with the Home of Hope for Girls has been ongoing since last year’s Women’s Day event and we continue to show how we care and deliver for these incredible girls!

It was a beautiful event, and I am so proud of the impact we are able to make as we continue to connect, inspire, care, and deliver for each other and our local communities.
