We interviewed 1,200 IT executives and IT personnel and there was no denying that their roles are changing. More than half of IT executives and personnel agreed that they need to acquire new skills to stay relevant in their field over the next five years, and most aren’t prepared to face rapidly changing data demands.

Additionally, IT professionals have found that their company’s data isn’t accessible. Two-thirds of all survey respondents estimated that their employees have access to just half of their company data or less for making key decisions.

IT is in a data crisis:

  • 25% of companies are ready for a natural disaster such as an earthquake or hurricane
  • 31% of companies are ready for a ransomware attack
  • 41% of companies don't have digital transformation plans in place
