A Reflection on Women’s History Month 2024

Equity in action – celebrating, supporting and investing in women.

It’s truly special that Women’s History Month takes place in March when the spring season kicks off. Spring is known as a time for renewal, when the flowers start to bloom, and we start to have more sunshine with longer and brighter days.

It creates an opportunity for us to redefine our next season as we recover from the winter, start new adventures, hopefully become more resilient through various challenges and welcome an “out with old, in with the new” mentality. And for Women’s History Month 2024 here at Commvault, we had exciting and inspiring sessions that brought us together to discuss how to not only support, but empower, women.

It was very intentional for us to shine a light on our continued commitment to investing in women in their personal and professional journeys. Our Women in Technology (WIT) Employee Resource Group (ERG) brings together both women and allies to elevate and advance gender equality in technology and celebrate the inspiring women of Commvault who are driving our innovation and growth every day. Our global WIT ERG organized remarkable sessions that focused on wellness, growth, allyship, career and leadership development. We hosted events in India, Australia and the United States that were available to all employees for virtual participation.

First, we had a Fireside Chat with Board Member Allison Pickens and our Chief People Officer, Martha Delehanty. With Allison’s extensive experience as an investor in Artificial Intelligence (AI), data and vertical application companies, she provided valuable insights into the challenges and triumphs of being a woman in a predominantly male-dominated field.

Drawing from her role as a COO thought partner, Allison discussed topics such as go-to-market strategies, category creation and scaling businesses, offering empowering advice for women navigating similar male-dominated career paths. She also highlighted the importance of Commvault’s focus on a culture of inclusion and support for working moms and others.

One of our other events featured a Courageous Conversation event with Sheryl Kline, a certified high-performance executive coach and CEO/founder of The Zone Lab, LLC. Sheryl shared her perspectives on how to let joy be your north star in your personal lens on life, women stepping into their unique power, having a bigger voice at the table and the significance of male allies.

Women’s History Month is not only a time to honor the achievements and contributions of women throughout history but also an opportunity to recognize the incredible women who are making history today. We have so many inspiring and talented women at Commvault – thank you for continuing to make an impact every day. Your hard work, resilience and determination serve as a testament to the strength and capabilities of women in the workplace and beyond.

Supporting and empowering women is a key component of Commvault’s DEI strategy. Let us continue to uplift and support one another, amplify each other’s voices and work together toward a brighter and more equal future for all.
