Overview
CommVault® Archive products enable enterprise-wide storage management and e-discovery with solutions for email, collaboration, file system and Network Attached Storage (NAS) data.  With built-in tiered storage and multi-platform support including Microsoft Exchange servers, IBM Lotus systems, and Microsoft SharePoint data, comprehensive archive management is simplified. Active migration of network attached storage (NAS), e-mail and file system data reduces primary storage use, extending the life of storage systems and reducing the time required for data protection. Active archive of e-mail data preserves it for compliance and discovery purposes.

CommVault offers these products for Archive:

• Data Archiver (previously known as Data Migrator) for NAS, e-mail and file system active-migration, including Exchange, SharePoint and IBM Lotus Domino Server data

• Data Archiver Compliance Option (previously known as Data Archiver) for compliance archiving of Exchange Journal data

CommVault Archive for IBM Lotus Domino Server data includes capabilities that are analogous to Compliance Option capabilities offered separately for Exchange. For Domino, however, these capabilities are all offered together in a single Data Archiver product.

CommVault also offers capabilities for archiving to Content Addressable Storage (CAS) devices.
