OCEANPORT, N.J. — January 29, 2008 — CommVault (NASDAQ: CVLT) today announced that it has entered into a collaborative agreement with Sun Microsystems Inc., to provide customers with advanced data management solutions for enterprise computing environments. Under the agreement, Sun will distribute globally the CommVault® Simpana™ 7.0 data and information management software suite running on Sun Microsystems x64 server and storage systems. Together, the two companies will assist customers in optimizing their corporate infrastructures for 64-bit applications based on Microsoft Corp. messaging and collaboration platforms.

Today's announcement helps users leverage the speed and performance of 64-bit computing environments to run and fully manage optimized 64-bit applications such as Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 and Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 on Sun server and storage systems using CommVault® software. The combined solution for Microsoft enterprise deployments will be available through Sun's direct sales force, as well as the CommVault-authorized channel within Sun's global partner network.
