Commvault User Group Community Guidelines, Privacy Statement, and Terms of Use

Welcome to the Commvault User Group (CUG) community. This global program is designed to foster collaboration, knowledge sharing, and professional development among Commvault customers, partners, and data management professionals.
By accessing, joining, or participating in any Commvault User Group activities, platforms, or events, you agree to comply with this Member Policy, including Community Guidelines, Privacy Practices, and Terms of Use.
2. Community Code of Conduct
2.1 Professional Conduct
Members are expected to:
- Engage respectfully and constructively
- Focus on ideas and shared learning, not individuals
- Foster an inclusive and collaborative environment
2.2 Appropriate Use
The Commvault User Group is intended for:
- Sharing best practices and real-world experiences
- Asking questions and providing peer support
- Discussing Commvault technologies and related topics
2.3 Prohibited Activities
Members may not:
- Engage in solicitation, sales, or promotional activity
- Post defamatory, abusive, offensive, or unlawful content
- Share confidential, proprietary, or sensitive information
- Violate intellectual property rights
Commvault reserves the right to suspend or terminate participation for violations of these standards.
3. Privacy Statement

5. Community Platforms and Content Use
Members agree that:

Commvault may remove content that violates these standards.
6. Security Practices
Commvault implements reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal data. However, no system is completely secure, and users share information at their own risk.

8. Terms of Use

By submitting content, you grant Commvault a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute such content for community and promotional purposes.
8.7 Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Commvault, its affiliates, employees, and partners from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from your participation or violation of this policy.
8.8 Termination
Commvault reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to the community at its sole discretion, without prior notice, for conduct that violates this policy.

Commvault may update this policy at any time. Updates will be posted with a revised effective date. Continued participation constitutes acceptance of updated terms.

12. Regional Compliance & Data Protection Addendum
Commvault is committed to complying with applicable global data protection and privacy regulations. The following sections provide additional rights and disclosures for users in specific regions.
12.1 European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, and Switzerland (GDPR/UK GDPR)
