Brian Carolan has been instrumental in transforming Commvault from a startup to the high-growth, global, publicly traded software company it is today.
Throughout his more than 20-year tenure, Brian has helped Commvault fund and navigate its IPO, global expansion, first acquisition, and most recently, the rapid incubation and launch of its award-winning Metallic SaaS portfolio. As CFO, Brian is focused on strengthening investor relationships and paving the way to double-digit annual recurring revenue to fuel the company for years to come. He is also executive sponsor of Commvault’s Women in Technology employee resource group.
After earning his Bachelor’s in Accounting from Villanova University, Brian went on to work for EY in its Technology, Entertainment and Communications audit practice and later obtained his Master’s in Business Administration from New York University. He is a member of Villanova’s Center for Business Analytics Advisory Council and President of its Alumni Club of the Jersey Shore, which has raised more than $100,000 for charity over the past five years.
Brian, a Certified Public Accountant, recently joined the Junior Achievement of New Jersey State Board of Directors, was named New Jersey BIZ CFO of the Year in 2016 and was inducted into the NJ Tech Council CFO Hall of Fame in 2019.
