As an SMB Account Executive within Commvault’s Velocity team, you’ll play a key role in building new business and expanding our footprint across the SMB market. This is a true hunter role, where you’ll focus on identifying, engaging, and winning new customers while positioning Commvault’s SaaS solutions as essential to their data protection and cyber resilience strategies.

You’ll operate in a high-growth, high-energy environment at the intersection of technology, sales, and customer needs. Working closely with partners and internal teams, you’ll drive the full sales cycle - from prospecting and discovery through demos, proposals, and close - using a consultative approach to uncover challenges and deliver real business value.

How you will make an impact

  • Identify sales opportunities by researching and prospecting (cold call, outreach, working with channel partners) within the assigned territory. 
  • Have a deep understanding of the territory and the top accounts within the assigned patch.
  • Set up and deliver sales presentations, product/service demonstrations. 
  • Manage end to end sales cycle from deal identification to closure. 
  • Maintain forecast accuracy 
  • Where necessary, support marketing and channel efforts – tradeshows, partner events etc. 

What you will bring

To be successful in the role, you should have:

  • 2+ years’ experience in a new business sales role within the SaaS industry
  • Track record of success and highlights in sales achievements.
  • Growth mindset, passion and enthusiasm for learning and developing your career.
  • Understanding and exposure to the RFP process.
  • High level of energy and ability to work autonomously.
  • Effective problem-solving skills to detect changes in circumstances or events.
  • Strong organizational, detail-oriented and time management skills
