Job Description Overview

The SaaS Sales Specialist (SSS) is responsible for achieving quota by selling Commvault Cloud SaaS solutions within a defined territory, which includes both current customers and prospects. This is an overlay field sales role that supports Enterprise and Commercial Segment Account Executives—either face-to-face or virtually—during sales meetings.

The SSS will support multiple Sales Leaders and lead specific stages of the sales process, such as demos, POCs, and TCO discussions. The ideal candidate will be able to understand customer environments and challenges, and align Commvault SaaS solutions to deliver strategic and financial value.

Position Responsibilities

  • Qualify leads for specific SaaS services and support field sellers in developing business opportunities to meet quarterly and annual revenue quotas.
  • Maintain high levels of customer, prospect, and partner engagement through face-to-face or virtual meetings.
  • Collaborate with Commvault field sellers and pre-sales engineers to close SaaS opportunities.
  • Share best practices and coach the broader sales and GTM organization.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with customers.
  • Prepare and present proposals with quantifiable business cases and value propositions.
  • Support deal negotiation and closure in line with company processes.
  • Use internal sales tools to drive opportunities to successful close.
  • Plan and coordinate executive briefings.
  • Stay current on industry trends, SaaS developments, and competitive landscape.
  • Own the SaaS goal for your territory, including accurate forecasting and planning.
  • Manage end-to-end sales activities for specific SaaS services, including reporting and QBRs.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5+ years of successful software sales experience.
  • Deep understanding of the SaaS data management industry and competitive landscape.
  • At least 2 years of experience selling with channel partners.
  • Strong communication and listening skills.
  • Background in cloud, data center infrastructure, or cybersecurity.
  • Financial selling skills, including TCO modeling.
  • Familiarity with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience with RTM partners, hyperscalers, alliances, and GSIs.
  • MEEDIC knowledge and experience in account planning.
  • Strong collaboration with legal teams to accelerate deal closure.
  • Experience selling through public cloud marketplaces.

US Pay Range
$93,500$174,800 USD
