Commvault Cloud now supports YugabyteDB

Commvault Cloud now supports YugabyteDB, the distributed SQL database known for its scalability and resilience. Ensure the protection of your YugabyteDB environments with Commvault.

We’re excited to announce that Commvault Cloud has added support for YugabyteDB, a distributed SQL database known for its horizontal scalability and built-in resilience, empowering organizations to build globally consistent applications.

With this integration, customers have complete protection of their YugabyteDB environments. In the event of failures or logical corruptions across multiple regions, Commvault Cloud provides rapid recovery, enabling you to manage and orchestrate your YugabyteDB workload easily from the Commvault Cloud console.

Protecting sensitive data across distributed applications is crucial in today’s dynamic enterprise landscape. While YugabyteDB is built to handle a number of failures, it is essential to have a dedicated data security and recovery solution to safeguard your critical data against extreme failures, evolving threats, and compliance and regulatory requirements. This is where Commvault Cloud comes in, providing unparalleled cyber resiliency.

The Commvault Cloud and YugabyteDB integration provides the following critical functionality:

  • Backup all namespaces in AWS and Azure: You can configure full and incremental backups, schedule backups, and perform individual table-level backups of YCQL and individual database backups of YSQL.
  • Browse and restore namespaces: You can easily restore individual databases and tables in place to the original cluster or out-of-place to another cluster.
  • Job monitoring and manageability: The Commvault Cloud console provides simple workflows to configure, manage, and monitor the status of any backup or restore process.

When combined, Commvault Cloud and YugabyteDB help organizations build, modernize, and protect business-critical applications against evolving threats and failures.
