My name is Tim Beekley. I’m the director of site reliability engineering and CICD for Loan Boss Inc. Loan Boss is a fintech firm that allows commercial real estate companies to manage their debt. I’m responsible for ensuring the site stays up and available to our customers. I know a lot of people say this, but all of our data is business critical. Our customers make financial decisions based on the data we store, and it’s a significant amount of trust they place in us because loan documents are non-standardized across the industry.

We have to manually abstract a lot of data from those documents, which can take months of work from our in-house team and our customers. Clumio checked all the boxes we needed for SOC2 compliance, disaster recovery, and it’s really easy to get going. The other big thing is that we can now sell to our customers. I spent about an hour with our auditors walking through the Clumio platform, explaining everything it did and how it worked, and they were really impressed. You can have some backed up in just 5 minutes.

Once you get your login and everything set up, restoring instances or data is a few clicks away. Another standout feature is Clumio’s customer support, which has been exceptional. We’ve had some backup failures that were our fault, and the Clumio support team actually reached out to us before we even noticed there was an issue, asking if they could help. This is huge for us.

Clumio helped us reduce our storage bill significantly. They have a Discover feature that lets you see where snapshots come from, and we were able to identify and remove a lot of orphan snapshots we were paying for. It’s really easy to use, and all the data and tools you need are in one spot, so you don’t have to worry about it.
