Enterprise Account Executive, ACT

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Enterprise Account Executive who will be accountable for achieving quota by selling Commvault solutions into a defined account list – comprising both existing Federal Government customers and high-value prospects.

You will own the full sales lifecycle and work closely with cross-functional teams to plan, coordinate, and drive multi-quarter sales growth, account penetration, and long-term customer success. Your focus will be on secure software, SaaS, and data protection solutions that meet the compliance, resilience, and digital transformation needs of Australia’s Federal Government.

Key Objectives:

Achieve and Exceed Sales Quota                                                                                                     

Drive quarterly and annual revenue by securing new wins and expanding existing accounts across government departments and agencies.

Build Strategic Campaigns and Account Plans                                                                    

Develop multi-year account strategies to win and grow high-potential customers, incorporating performance objectives, financial goals, and customer success metrics.

Lead Executive and Cross-Functional Collaboration                                                  

 Coordinate internal and external stakeholders—including SEs, partners, marketing, and executive sponsors—to build and close high-value sales campaigns.

Establish Commvault as a Trusted Government Partner                                               

Position our platform as mission-critical for agencies seeking secure, scalable, and compliant data management and cyber resilience solutions.

 

How you will make an impact:

  • Sell Commvault’s secure Software and SaaS solutions into Federal Government agencies through direct engagement and partner collaboration.
  • Develop and implement territory and account plans for long-term expansion and new agency acquisition.
  • Build strategic sales campaigns and manage multi-stakeholder buying groups, from technical evaluators to procurement and executive sponsors.
  • Collaborate with SEs, Marketing, Channel, Legal, Finance, and Delivery teams to progress opportunities to successful outcomes.
  • Present business cases and executive briefings that demonstrate Commvault’s value in meeting government policy mandates such as PSPF, ISM, and Essential Eight
  • Maintain high levels of activity, pipeline growth, and CRM hygiene to support forecasting and sales operations.
  • Stay current with Federal Government ICT priorities (e.g. cyber uplift, secure cloud, GovERP, AI/ML), policy shifts, and funding cycles.
  • Leverage alliances and partners to support joint solutions, accelerate procurement, and expand reach.

 

 

What you will bring:

  • Demonstrated success in enterprise software and SaaS sales to Australian Federal Government agencies.
  • Deep understanding of the Federal Government buying cycle, including procurement frameworks, panels, clearance requirements, and compliance obligations.
  • Experience closing six- and seven-figure deals in regulated and complex environments.
  • Strong background in cybersecurity, data protection, disaster recovery, or information management solutions.
  • Proven ability to engage and influence CIOs, CISOs, procurement officers, and program leaders.
  • Experience working with and through channel and alliance partners in the public sector ecosystem.
  • Familiarity with structured methodologies such as MEDDPICC or equivalent
  • Excellent communication and executive presentation skills
  • Operational discipline and experience using tools like Salesforce to manage pipeline, forecasting, and deal progression.
  • Baseline clearance (preferred); NV1/NV2 or AGSVA eligibility is highly regarded.
