CommVault Services: Delivering the Solving Forward Philosophy

The recent damage caused by Hurricane Sandy has reinforced the importance of good disaster recovery and data protection planning for businesses, but there is no shortage of competing priorities. Commvault formally introduced its consulting practice in December 2011 with a focus on helping businesses modernize their virtual data protection and snapshot management strategies or their overall data and information management environments. Since that time, we've seen significant growth in the need for these types of services. That's why today Commvault is expanding its coverage with four new Consulting Services offerings and two new Professional Services offerings. Together, the offerings cover key market needs for:

  • Simpana Wellness Assessment

Our goal with these new services is to help users transform traditional backup, recovery, and archive approaches into modern environments that are more resilient, easier to manage and cost effective, all in an effort to deliver the service levels needed to succeed in a competitive business environment. Some aspects of our service delivery may appear similar to our peers, but three things differentiate us. First is our maniacal focus on customer outcomes. Commvault focuses on understanding and enabling the results that customers require. Once these desired outcomes are identified, Commvault consultants work closely with the customer to plan and execute activities that achieve those results in a rapid, predictable, and cost effective fashion. Second, Simpana software is itself differentiated and is the platform that we use to deliver our services. Simpana software has several embedded tools, like workflow management templates, the EDC Cloud, and which accelerate and improve service delivery. However, trust is what really sets us apart. Commvault clients trust us to provide candid, expert advice no matter if that advice includes Simpana software or not. They trust us to accelerate their transformation activities while helping maximize business value and build-in resilience for continued data growth.
